UNDERCOVER returns with its latest deliveries of outerwear pieces from its Fall/Winter 2018 'order - disorder" collection. Inspired by Stanley Kubrick's cult film, 2001: A Space Odyssey, the garments are emblazoned with graphics that pay tribute to key characters in the film - like HAL3000 - bringing the collection's theme into a realm that imagines dystopian fantasy. Bold typefaces such as “HAL Laboratories” and “HUMAN ERROR” appear, while illustrative graphics take shape in the form of emblems and cartoonish motifs.
Standout pieces include items like the UNDERCOVER Logo Jacket which features a tonal pattern over an elongated body and the "HUMAN ERROR" Sweatshirt is made up of padded down-filled quilting. Another highlight is the HAL Laboratories Gym Bag with the text: "HAL LABORATORIES", followed by "1992", Urbana State of Illinois" and "Heuristically programmed ALgorhithmic computer Sivasubramanian Chandrasegarampillai". Rounding out the assemblage is the Coach Jacket featuring an animated brain diagram with the words "MY MIND IS GONE" just under it.
