Inaugurating Paris Fashion Week, the Heron Preston SS20 runway was opened by Alton Mason with a tailored suit created with the architecture firm behind the Salt Shed in NYC. To take a closer look at the collection, we went backstage for more behind-the-scene imagery.
Capturing the energy of New York streets, the Heron Preston SS20 Collection is to create a “vibe of concrete jungle”. With pieces experimenting heavily in tailoring and drawing inspirations from painter Robert Nava, the result is a mixture of workwear-inspired and casual graphic-heavy apparels. The designer also unveils a four-piece Gore-Tex collaboration, a partnership with Levi’s and also a Nike collaboration dedicated specifically to Air Max Day.
Notable looks from Preston’s presentation includes a satin yellow suit, a monochromatic flame-graphic grey boxy shirt and cream two-piece comprised of a camp collar shirt and pair of jeans, paired with a matching babushka scarf. Collaborative Levi’s pieces include an asymmetrical denim dress and a washed-out denim two-piece.
