ICNY emerged when the designer Michael Cherman, began producing reflective wear with only his safety in mind. As a cyclist in NYC, he quickly realized the need to seen when commuting. By utilizing a unique application of 3M Reflective materials on apparel and accessories, the result was a strobe like effect that caught the attention intended from cars and pedestrians.
