GX1000
GX1000 is a San Francisco based skateboard brand. Founded on unadulterated adrenaline, GX1000 was born when a crew of skateboarders were aspired to put a new definition on extreme skateboarding. Led by skate world hero, Ryan Garshell, the gang went viral with short videos of exhilarating and at times frightening hill-bombs. The name GX1000 is actually a combination of Ryan's last initials and his camera, the Sony VX1000. Initially a small run of merchandise to promote their videos, GX1000 quickly ascended to the top of the hill with tees, hoodies, pants and of course, boards. Loyal to the city's history of hippies and marginalised communities, their designs are charged with the anti-establishment and rebellious spirit of true skateboarding.
