Japanese label YOKE has officially opened its Fall/Winter 2026–27 pop-up space at BELOWGROUND.
Titled "BEYOND FORM," the seasonal collection takes inspiration from artist Jean Arp and his foundational philosophy that "nature knows no straight lines." Channeling Arp's fluid aesthetic, designer Norio Terada leans into organic curves, softened tailoring, and silhouettes shaped by a sense of chance rather than rigid geometry.
Throughout the range, classic jackets feature a subtle roundness, while structured coats and trench coats incorporate internal wiring that allows their silhouette to shift dynamically. Elsewhere, bonded glen check fabrics capture the appearance of cloth placed almost accidentally, translating Arp’s approach to fine art composition directly into everyday apparel.
The space at BELOWGROUND extends these concepts into the physical installation. Multiple monitors positioned throughout continuously play YOKE’s Fall/Winter 2026–27 presentation, creating an immersive way to experience the collection alongside the physical garments. Moving images, clothing, and spatial design come together seamlessly to offer further context behind the shapes, movement, and craftsmanship of the season.
