Denmark's chilly and rainy weather didn't stop Copenhagen Fashion Week attendees from dressing up this Spring/Summer 2024 season. Although people seemed to lean towards the gorpcore look with weatherproof, technical layers in preparation for the shows that took place outdoors, there were plenty of trends to notice on the streets throughout the week.
At Copenhagen Fashion Week, we captured some of our favorite street style looks from showgoers. Continue scrolling for some outfit inspiration for the coming seasons.
While you're here, don't forget to check out the best shows we saw throughout the week.
All-Black Chic
It's hard to go wrong with an all-black fit. Instead of adding pops of color, attendees opted to play around with texture, adding their personal touch to each of their looks. Outfits ranged from Berlin-style leather trench coats with statement-making sunglasses, to frilled pieces for a more feminine feel. Elsewhere, showgoers accentuated their all-black fits with extra-layered necklaces and sported outerwear with exaggerated shoulders for a bold silhouette.
Baggy, Baggy Jeans
While Fashion Week is a time for people to show off their best outfits, that doesn't necessarily mean they have to compromise comfort for style. Baggy trousers were some of the most commonly worn pieces throughout the week, with standout looks including chain accessories. Some attendees kept cozy in logo beanies from brands like Stussy, while others went bold with cropped tops for a Y2K-inspired look.
Bleached Bottoms
Bleach-dyed denim was one of the coolest trends spotted during CPHFW. The fun, splattered texture was seen on bootcut jeans accessorized with leather boots and a studded belt, as well as loose-fitted pants paired with a denim jacket.
Layers on Layers
Thanks to the chilly weather, layering was a key element throughout the SS24 edition of CPHFW. Black, gray and white tones were layered atop one another for that Scandi-chic look, while other standout garments included double-layered trousers and balaclavas. Sweater vests such as GANNI's were paired with striped shirts, and padded outerwear pieces were styled with knit layers underneath.
Jorts Everywhere
Shorts — more specifically jorts — were a popular choice among the guests at CPHFW. The garment was styled in a variety of ways, including casual looks featuring knee-high boots or cowboy boots with camo-printed tees, as well as track tops and moto jackets.
