During New York Fashion Week, Marshall Columbia and HBX New York came together to debut the namesake label's new collection of handbags via a special installation at the HBX flagship store on 41 Division Street.
Highlighted in the collection are the signature plush handbags, said to be an extension of the emerging brand's core handbag style. Inspired by Columbia's childhood, the vibrant bags feature quirky shapes and unique materials that evoke a sense of nostalgia, as well as creative expression. Traction for these playful designs ultimately launched the brand to new heights, evident in its star-studded list of wearers, including Bella Hadid, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Chloe Cherry, and celebrity trendsetters alike. With the designer's vision to "create a bag for everyone" in mind, the latest collection features four new bag styles and offers up to 17 options of varying sizes and colorways.
On September 9th, HBX's New York store hosted a party on its third floor, inviting friends and guests to celebrate the Brooklyn-based brand's new launch of purses. Besides special effects such as neon lighting and whimsical space-themed furniture scattered throughout the pop-up, the DJs of the night, including Ren G, TT, Soulseek, and x3butterfly, further set the atmosphere. Maliibu Miitch, Yumi Nu, Jazzelle, and Fernando Casablancas were others in attendance.
