Matthew Williams’ 1017 ALYX 9SM returns with a military-influenced range of technical wear and accessories for the streetwear label’s Fall/Winter 2019 Collection. The line-up features the brand’s signature tough-luxe detailings such as an updated “Rollercoaster Buckle”, rugged metallics, a new camouflage print, alongside more collaborative pieces with Nike. Well known for its streetwear aesthetic, the brand has been spotted on the likes of global stars such as Madison Beer, BLACKPINK, Kaia Gerber, to name a few.
Spotlighted first are a slew of sustainable designs from the ALYX Visual Line, which comprises of garments constructed from upcycled textiles with an intention to reduce waste while still providing high-quality products. The Visual Cropped Hoodie comes in an oversized fit with a drawstring hood and is emblazoned with the minimal branding motif on the front. For a timeless sporty total look, reach for the Visual Sweatpants which offered in ribbed cuffs. More jointly designed pieces with Nike are brought forth, each item features co-branded verbiage on the front. Detailed with a distinctive tie-dye pattern throughout, the Cap sees a silver-tone Swoosh logo on the front and side collaborative motif. While the Sweatpants come in a regular-fit, the taupe hued Sports Bra is seen paired with the Zip Hoodie. The hoodie‘s layering hood is adorned with a camouflage design developed by artisans applying color to garments using different art tools, making each piece unique.
