Hong Kong City Guide with Christina Liu
[socials/]Marked by a rich history and an eccentric mix of East and West, Hong Kong welcomes with its iconic skyline, legendary cuisine and lush nature, where colorful traditions and creative culture thrive. We spent the day with fashion influencer Christina Liu exploring the city’s frenetic pace, glowing neon lights and dense urban sprawl. Christina wears key pieces from Off-White™, BURBERRY, Alexander Wang, VERSACE, and more, showcasing some our favourite Fall/Winter 2019 trends, while she roams around the top sights of the ”Fragrant Harbor”.
Jumbo Floating Restaurant
We start off the day by taking a small ferry boat to Jumbo Floating Restaurant, a sprawling floating eatery decorated in traditional imperial Chinese style, for a scrumptious meal of dim sum and other Cantonese delicacies. As we enjoy the scenic Hong Kong landmark, Christina's graphic VERSACE Barocco Printed Bike Shorts standout against the asymmetric Helmut Lang Slashed Seamless Tank. A MISBHV Monogram Gavroche Cap is added to shield from the warm sun rays while the Alexander Wang Surplus Camera Bag secures all her daily essentials.
Hollywood Road
Next, we head over to Hollywood Road, fully packed with antique shops and art galleries bursting with Buddha statues, Chinese porcelain wares and Ming Dynasty collectibles. The area also houses one of the city's oldest temples, the atmospheric Man Mo Temple. As she tours around, Christina opts for sportswear-inspired pieces from Off-White™ such as the Knit Swans Mini Skirt, a pleated cheerleader-style design, and the brightly hued Rowing Top. Spotlighted alongside the ensemble is a concise selection of accessories such as the Alexander Wang Halo Handbag, Fendi x Gentle Monster sunglasses and CROSS/PHONEZ Chain iPhone Case.
Star Ferry
As we hop on to Hong Kong's famed Star Ferry, crossing Victoria Harbour from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon, Christina wears yet another Off-White™ look. While the Multipanel Long Skirt is seen paired with the Athletic T-shirt for a more relaxed vibe, the luxury streetwear label's Jitney 0.7 Cash Inside Crossbody Bag and Maison Margiela's classic Tabi Boots instantly elevate the fit.
Jade Hawker Bazaar
Our final stop for the night is the Jade Hawker Bazaar, a couple blocks down from Mong Kok's bustling Ladies Market and neon signs. Here, Christina changes into her last outfit of the day, a 3M reflective Heron Preston Tool Vest Jacket and cozy Alexander Wang Fleece Pants. Rounding out the assemblage are several logomania-infused BURBERRY items like the Dalby Check Sports Top and Monogram Logo Drawstring Pouch.
