adidas Originals comes together with Los Angeles-based Bristol Studio in its latest collaboration to bring forth a range of basketball-inspired apparel and footwear. The rising star of the Californian fashion scene fuses its fresh take on iconic sportswear silhouettes with adidas’ rich basketball heritage. Taking plenty of references from both on- and off-court styling, the capsule is heavily inspired by the early 2000s, even bringing back authentic crinkle nylon from that time period to construct the garments.
The highlight of the collaboration is a reiteration of the Crazy BYW, available in low- and high-top versions. First inspired by the Kobe Bryant KB8 and later the Crazy 8, the sneaker sports brand new material and design elements not previously seen on the Crazy model, such as hairy leather panels, knitted textiles, translucent detailings and adidas BOOST technology. On the apparel front, the joint release also sees an array of basketball jerseys, warm up tops, tees, loose-fitting shorts and tearaway pants. Offering a refined take on sportswear, each item is rendered in tonal hues of light brown, white and onyx, further complemented with subtle Bristol Studio branding.
