HBX Presents: Stone Island Fall/Winter 2018 Collection Lookbook
The latest Stone Island Fall/Winter 2018 Collection presents a range of tech garments that push the boundaries of innovation. The collection is sub-divided into various capsules that highlight specific design focuses. An eclectic assemblage of jackets, anoraks, pants, T-shirts and headwear pieces are presented over a slew of military-inspired silhouettes, reflective materials and weather-resistant fabrics.
Our editorial is a visual exploration of motion and the human form where the pieces are oriented through interactive kinetic programming that project their digitalized counterparts. The results are video renderings and projections of the physical world, inextricably bound by technology.

Among the spectrum of technically innovative fabrics born out of Stone Island's textiles lab is the Nylon Metal technology: one of the most weather-adaptive fabrics yet. Take the "64112" Nylon Metal jacket as an example. The nylon yarn consists of special trilobate structures that start off with a grey weft and white warps before they are treated with anti-drop dye. To finish, a double-dye procedure is conducted wherein the fabric color is picked out over a spectrum of options for different intensities and tones.

Another part of the season's line up is the FW18 "Iridescent" capsule which is characterized by its gold-colored base and reflective coating. In the development process, a golden-pink polyurethane film is fused together with an iridescent nylon canvas. The result is a finish made up of thousands of tiny glass microspheres. A standout piece is the Stone Island Iridescent Coating Tela With Reflex Mat Coat and its matching pants. Rounding out the assemblage are additional T-shirts, hoodies, long-sleeves and headwear pieces.
