With the warmer climate on the rise, Vans introduces a range of new deliveries that feature Japanese boro techniques, retro-inspired checker prints and graphics. Featured silhouettes include the Sk8-Hi, Slip-On, Authentic and Old Skool models to name a few.
First up in the line up of offerings is the Vans "Patchwork Denim" Pack. Aptly named after the centuries-old Japanese technique, traditional fabrics are sewn together in an ensemble of indigo-dyed textiles. This time around, the Sk8-Hi, Authentic and Slip-Ons silhouettes are graced with the age-old garment treatment. The Sk8-Hi and Authentic models feature a multi-textured upper while the Slip-On presents off-kilter patchwork quilts from recycled and reworked swatches.
The Vans "Side Wall Check" Slip Ons are a nod to the nearly-40-year old style from the original 1979 model. Steeped in the "Imperial Blue" and "Racing Red" colorways, each pair boasts tonal checkerboard detailing on the midsoles. If examined closely, small "TM" motifs can be found inside the checkerboards adding a playful tone to the revived styles.
Other models like the Vans Old Skool "Lightning" and Old Skool "Two-Tone Denim" round out the latest deliveries. Check out the photos above for a look at the aforementioned models and click here to shop now.
