Based on World War II, the 1944 501 Jean was constructed from the bare minimum in order to conserve raw materials for the war effort. Today, these jeans are made from 12 oz. Cone Mills Red Selvedge Denim and features their signature Big "E" Red Tab, a "Two Horse" leather patch and "Laurel Leaf" unbranded buttons.
