Japanese menswear brand DISCOVERED was founded in 2001 by Tatsuya Kimura and Sanae Yoshida. The concept for their menswear collection was a “real clothes” aesthetic with sleek lines and monochromatic palettes. DISCOVERED pursues genre-less designs and the fusion of conflicting tastes under the concept of “opposition,” and its pieces range from traditional to casual.
This shirt is a minimalist rendition of the traditional Mao jacket, featuring a mandarin collar and Chinese knot buttons, albeit in all black.

After graduation from Ueda college of Fashion academy in Osaka, they both move to Tokyo, and started making custom-made clothes for musicians, DJs, actors and artists in 2001. Held the fist runway show in 2009 for 2010Spring&Summer collection in Tokyo. DISCOVERED pursues the genre-less designs, fusion of conflicting tastes and designs under the concept of [Opposition mix up].
