BornxRaised represents the past and present of Los Angeles. Using old English fonts and graphics to wail against the gentrification that has taken over many of the city's neighborhoods, the brand was conceived while founder Spanto was incarcerated and has began creating serious buzz since 2011. The L.A. brand launched its first collection in 2012 when Spanto linked up with 2Tone. The label's signature designs use old English fonts to highlight the gentrification that has taken over the neighborhoods in which the founders grew up in.
