Astrid Andersen marks Spring/Summer 2014 with her first solo catwalk debut at London Collections: Men with another boundary redefining menswear collection continuing to question the juxtaposition of strength and sensitivity within the modern masculine sports-urban aesthetic. Taking the overwhelming natural beauty of crystals and minerals, hard and aggressive in shape but soft and ethereal in colour, and the restorative powers, intuitive insights and protective energies bestowed on them, Astrid Andersen explores themes of superstition and ritual - when faced with adversity, before taking a gamble, on seeking guidance from afar, and as Athletes before contest.
