Dum Keramik was founded by Malmö based designer Siri Skillgate. Born and raised in Stockholm, Skillgate had a knack for design and arts at an early age. Perceptive and critical of the industry's practices, Skillgate wanted to transition into an ethically and economically sustainable model. Skillgate then launched Dum Keramik, or dumb ceramics, where she began making everything herself. Despite not being a professional ceramist, Skillgate uses her lack of knowledge to enhance her creative process. Unlike the perfectly symmetrical ceramics on the market, Dum Keramik pieces are marked with their uneven edges and playful expressions. Shop Dum Keramik
