Founded in 1996, Medicom Toy is a Japanese purveyor of collectibles most well-known for its Kubrick toys and the beloved BE@RBRICKs, anthropomorphized bear figurines that have been extremely popular with adult collectors. The company has collaborated with big names in the industry including Disney, Star Wars and Marvel, refashioning familiar characters in its signature block-style form.

The NYC-based brand SSUR has given the beloved BE@RBRICK figure a striking floral-themed makeover as a nod to the designer’s Russian heritage, using graphics that closely resemble the traditional wood painting handicraft style of Khokhloma.
