Founded in Lugano, Switzerland in 2020 by Rosario Toscano and Salma Rachid, Akoni takes its name from a Latin word meaning priceless. Toscano's two decades in high eyewear, including years leading Dita, shape the brand's approach. Frames are made with Japanese artisans, finished by hand, built with no compromise on material or process. Each pair is designed as a fine object, a piece of engineering meant to last well past a season.
