Introducing: Nanushka
[socials/]Founded by London College of Fashion alumnus Sandra Sandor in 2007, Budapest-based contemporary womenswear label Nanushka has just arrived at HBX for the first time. Designed and created with sustainability in mind, the brand is best known for its vegan leather goods and other ethically sourced materials such as eco-certified satins and linens, alongside its signature, quality knits. Earning significant acclaim for its modern and wearable designs, the label's pieces are frequently spotted on the likes of It-girls and models like Kaia Gerber, Hailey Baldwin, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, to name a few. Scroll through our editorial to take a closer look at the range and shop below.
Titled "Bourgeois Grunge", the latest Fall/Winter 2020 collection encompasses a mix of luxe and ’70s-inspired aesthetic with hallmarks of the grunge era, to explore the rich, complex nature of modern femininity. A concise lineup of relaxed and oversized silhouettes like the wool-blend robe coats, bomber jackets and knit pullovers are introduced for the new-season act as chunky, protective layer that contrasts with the brand's signature, monastic vest-style dresses.
Focusing on the importance of texture, the knitwear designs are elevated with silk, extra-fine merino and organic boiled wool. Notable pieces are the matching Honor Blazer Jacket and Cleo Pants. While the work-inspired outerwear sees dual front pockets and peak lapels, the bottom arrives with a concealed zip fastening. Elsewhere, the Alamo Coat is detailed with timeless, all-over check motifs and a belted waist. Other highlights are the grunge-inspired silhouettes such as the Roque Leather Shirt and Nampeyo Leather Shorts. Made from a bold patchwork vegan leather, the shirt features two flap pockets at chest. Rounding out the range is a concise lineup of eye-catching styling staples including the Sayan Dress, Harri Checkerboard Top and Jo Vegan Leather Bag.
