Founded in 1994 by Errolson Hugh and Michaela Sachenbacher as an independent design agency, ACRONYM® is a progenitor in fusing styles and technology for functional apparels. The Munich-based brand is known for its highly-innovative and versatile designs that often utilize a monochromatic palette, with its 2002 Analog MD Clone Jacket named as one of TIME Magazine’s coolest inventions of the year. While involving himself with other labels such as the ACG line of Nike and the Stone Island Shadow Project, Errolson Hugh continues to elevate his work for ACRONYM®, unveiling more pieces with the latest functional silhouettes and fabrics.
One notable piece from the Fall/Winter 2019 Collection is the 3L Gore-Tex® Pro Tec Sys Interops Jacket. Built with next generation Gore-Tex® Pro fabric technology for improved ruggedness and increased breathability, the piece also combines several previously disparate ACRONYM® elements into the new versatile garment. Two detached entry flak pockets are vertically aligned and outfitted with stowable storm flaps for improved weather protection. Tec Sys webbing overlays the upper pocket providing 2 rows and 8 channels of modular mount options. The overlap zip funnel hood brings full spectrum head protection to a mid length silhouette for the first time. Gravity Pocketsǽ, AuxZipǽ, and Interopsǽ complete the program.
