STYLE NOTES: STORMZY AT THE 2019 GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL
After taking a fallow year, the Glastonbury Festival returned this June with a lineup headlined by British rapper Stormzy who took the main stage on day one in a stab-proof vest — customised by artist Banksy. Featuring the Union Jack from the national flag of United Kingdom in near monochrome. The vest aims to makes a comment on the knife-crime crisis and racial inequality in the nation, topics often addressed in Stormzy’s music.
For similar styles, we have curated a number of pieces including the Stone Island Shadow Project Padded Vest. In all black, the vest features a collarless neckline edged in nylon stretch tape, with multiple side pockets closed by vertical zips to finish the anti-drop cut silhouette. Other selected items include the Heron Preston Nylon Tool Vest inspired by blue-collar workwear and the 1017 ALYX 9SM signature New Tactical Vest. Scroll below to shop now.
