FOCUS: SUMMER SLIDES

Statement footwear, now a foremost element in styling, has led designers to challenge the conventional standards of silhouette, materials and functionality. No longer a “summer by the pool with Ella Fitzgerald” or a “Californian beach with Piña Colada” kind of day accessory, slides and sandals are reinterpreted for every occasion through all seasons. To help you gear up for the forthcoming heatwave, we have curated some summer slides featuring brands include Burberry, Wacko Maria, Nike and Adidas by Raf Simons. Highlighting the curation, Burberry keeps a conventional approach to their latest summer Motif Slides design. With "Burberry" printed on the right, text "Kingdom" as the collection motif is paired for the open-toe silhouette. Moving away from text to a print heavy style, the Wacko Maria's Flip Flop Sandals is presented with the brand's signature animal print. Leopard, this time round, the PVC kicks are finished with white branded text near the heels. French for “deceive the eye”, the adidas by Raf Simons RS Stan “Trompe-L’œil” Pack incorporates five of the brand’s archival styles to the Adilette Slides through 3-D modelling. The resulting Torsion Conquest Super (1990-92) and Peachtree(1985) slides retain details of the vintage shoes, transporting authentic elements from the past to present. Rounding out the curation is the most iconic slides of all time — the Nike Benassi Jdi. Identified by the white Swoosh logo printing, the ever classic is a must-have for your summer activities.
