For the Spring/Summer 2019 Collection, TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist. returns to the Seattle grunge scene so earnestly adored by the designer, especially those captured under legendary photographer Charles Peterson’s films. Titled “SONG #2 (temporary) Written by: (Oscar / Takahiro)”, the collection features a vast array of graphic-heavy layering pieces and workwear in monochrome hues to emphasize the atmospheric images of musicians such as Kurt Cobain.
Several pieces from the collection are collaboratively executed with Dickies for a touch of American heritage workwear to the grunge-inspired range. One standout piece is the button-up Khaki Work Shirt, featuring multiple graphics at the front, back and on the sleeves. Red patches with text “Charles Peterson” are woven to the shoulders, with flap pockets at chest and the Dickies signature badge at bottom. Similarly designed with different curated photographs, the Black Work Jacket is made with a zip closure and two side pockets.
