In September 2017, Helmut Lang returned to the New York Fashion Week runway with a new provocateur at its helm – Shayne Oliver. Holding onto his almost aggressively avant-garde HBA attitude, Oliver injects the label with a millennial spirit while keeping some of Lang's original muses in the lineup. In 2018 Spring/Summer, the collection offers a selection of bags, including the Lunch Bag in regular and mini size and the Fold Over Bag. A re-edition of the Shopping Bag in plaid fist produced in 2003 is also seen in the range.
