Styled: VERSACE Chain Reaction Sneaker
[socials/]VERSACE has been a pillar of luxury fashion since its establishment in 1978, and the Italian label continues to impress with its internationally renowned designs, bold patterns and eccentric colors. With Donatella Versace leading the creative direction for the house, a new set of designs has surfaced, playing off its rich heritage while embracing the multifaceted nature of contemporary culture.
A key highlight this season is the VERSACE Chain Reaction sneaker, characterized by a rubber outsole that's molded after the label's signature Cuban link. Designed by Salehe Bembury, a former footwear designer under YEEZY, this particular sneaker is a curious medley of new and old school designs. The sneaker boasts a bevy of eclectic details informed by the flashy, gold-chain-slinging, over-the-top styles that rappers and sneaker aficionados alike have adopted throughout the years. The iconic Greek Key figures, braille "love" lettering, "Chain Reaction" logo patch, and gold-baroque or leopard patterns are but a few motifs that have been carefully fused together. The VERSACE Chain Reaction is made available in two colorways: multicolor leopard and the archival gold Hibiscus print.
