The Stone Island Shadow Project 10-year anniversary "6919" collection marks a special time within the Italian label's rich heritage. Presented in the line up is a slew of standout garments that feature well-considered design solutions and advanced fabric treatments, best characterized by its unique iridescent sheen and nuanced detailing. This time around, our focus spotlights the Stone Island Shadow Project "70406" Stealth Parka and "70603" Down Parka, both of which were developed under the direction of Errolson Hugh.
The "70603" Down Parka is a key piece from the line up which bears the collection's thematic reflective Scarabeo technology. Dynamic colors and light contrasts produce a radiant spectrum of reflectivity that react under varying environments. Its elongated construction and padded insulation ensure protection against harsh climates while remaining breathable. Special commemorative branding and graphics can be found on the inside, rounding out subtle details of the “6919” collection.
Another highlight is the "70406" Stealth Parka, drawn from the Stone Island archives and a modern reimagination of the classic military silhouette. The parka features a duo-layered fabric construction, made up of an iridescent "Scarabeo" inner and a protective polyester outer. The outer shell is treated with an anti-drop agent to protect against water and dirt with six shaped patch pockets built in. The parka's inner "Scarebeo" shell can be accessed upon unzipping the closure at the chest yoke. The parka is adaptive wherein it can be either reflective or subtly concealed depending on the wearer's preference.
