Hajime Sorayama is a renowned Japanese Artist who is widely recognized for his erotic portrayals of feminized, biomechanoid robots. His works have been an important part of the permanent collection of artworks at the MOMA. Often described as “superrealism”, his highly detailed style has been cited as the subject of many academic studies, as well as being one of the markers of a major artistic shift within Japanese pop-culture.
