A graduate of Philadelphia University's School of Textile & Science, Japanese designer Yoshio Kubo spent several years working under New York haute couture designer Robert Danes before starting his own line in Japan. Kubo is known for his outlandish prints, use of technical fabrics and penchant for creating complex layered garments.
Graduated from the Philadelphia University’s school of Textile & Science in 2000. He had been working for New York haute couture designer “Robert Danes” as an assistant designer for 4 years in New York. In April 2004, Yoshio Kubo came back to Japan to start his original label “yoshio kubo”. “yoshio kubo Spring / Summer 2009 collection” was first introduced in September, 2008 by the Tokyo Collection.
