London native Craig Green graduated from a full scholarship scheme on the Central Saint Martins MA in February 2012, receiving the L’Oreal Professional Creative Award for his unique marriage of minimal garments, and dramatically sculptural body pieces. The collection included seventeen looks which not only gained widespread media praise, but cemented several themes which have become mainstay in his continued design practice, including ‘boyhood fantasy, the pursuit of adventure, and a certain D-I-Y masculinity’. Prior to graduation, the commercial potential of Green’s aesthetic was noted by the likes of New Era, winning their XC Prize in 2010, held in celebration of the brand’s 90th anniversary, while the following year he designed an 8 style capsule collection of men’s shoes for Bally of Switzerland.
