Taschen is a book publisher founded by Benedikt Taschen in Cologne, Germany. Originally known as Taschen Comics, the brand was meant to be the publisher of Benedikt’s comics collection. Through his comics, Taschen brought minority culture and controversial art such as fetishistic imagery, queer art, and historical erotica to the mainstream. Since then, Taschen has focused on preserving all things art through the best printing and publishing.
