Phenomenon, established in 2004 by Takeshi Osumi, reinterprets distinctly traditional Japanese silhouettes with influences from music and club culture. Not known for its conservatism, Phenomenon's collections are filled with a variety of vivid prints and colors, making the brand a regular in the wardrobes of Tokyo's avant-garde.
Phenomenon's Spring/Summer 2016 collection is founder Takeshi Osumi's last, and the designer has brought his A game this season, creating vibrant and eclectic pieces for the streetwear brand. This season's collection was inspired by The Isley Brothers' 1997 hit "Footsteps in the Dark," and this nylon coat pays homage by printing the song title in bold white type on its back. Constructed in a longline silhouette and styled with a drawcord hood.
