ASICS was founded in 1977 from the Onitsuka brand, which had been manufacturing sports footwear in Japan since 1949. ASICS stands for “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano,” which is Latin for “a sound mind in a sound body.” The brand prides itself on building the finest products for the sports enthusiasts.
