[socials/]Following the recent release of the Pre-Spring Collection, Maison Margiela and the house's diffusion line MM6 return for the Spring/Summer 2020 season in full swing. Delivering more uniform-inspired garments to present the possibility that varied identities can exist within each design, Creative director John Gallian brings forth a reimagined range of his iconic Tabi footwear and Glam Slam Bags, alongside a playful array of wardrobe essentials and accessories, including the Banana Clutch. Heavily referencing Beatles frontman John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono's "bed-ins" for peace during the Vietnam War in 1969, the MM6 collection sees a line-up of white apparel and accessories representing a happy marriage as a contrast to the tumultuous social situation. Highlighted pieces include the Cotton Apron Top and Logo Long Gloves. The gloves can be worn with the Logo Long-sleeve Jersey Bodysuit for an edgier touch. Elsewhere, the Logo Sweater is arrives in a relaxed fit and side slit hemline, and features an oversized 6 logo patch on the front.
While the popular Glam Slam Bags are offered in multiple styles, such as Mini Belt Bags, Bucket Bags and Mini Backpacks for daily switch-ups, other small leather goods like coin cases, cardholders, wallets and clutches arrive with the fashion house's signature topstitching detailing. Rounding out the range is a slew of sought-after footwear, including the Tabi Calfskin Ankle Boots, Tabi Loafer and Stitching Ankle Boots.
