Limited Release: BURBERRY Spring/Summer 2019 “Monogram” Collection

Burberry’s newly appointed Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci debuts first-ever Monogram collection starring Gigi Hadid in the campaign images and video. In a nod to the brand founder Thomas Burberry, the brand logo of interlocking “TB” initials was created by Riccardo Tisci in collaboration with British art director and graphic designer Pete Saville. Shot by fashion photographer Nick Knight, this Monogram collection showcases in four distinct characters represented by Gigi Hadid – the girl, the boy, the lady and the gentleman. The TB Monogram collection is cast in a neutral palette of chocolate brown, chestnut brown, beige, with red strips laid on top of the prints.

The exclusive collection will be available first on HBX at 12AM EST, May 22.

Dressed as “The Girl”, spotlighted on Gigi Hadid are the oversized Carrick T-shirt worn on the shoulder, Seighford Pants made in silk, crossbody Monogram Camera Bag and Elodie Highheels paired with Stripe Classic Socks. Moving forward to “The Boy”, the look features a Monogram Baseball Cap, Poulter Hoodie, Monogram Fanny Pack, Md Kennedy Travel Bag, the Jett Backpack and the Monogram sneakers.

Evolving from “The Girl” to “The Lady”, a feminine presence is presented in a Nylon Car Coat with a Monogram Stripe Silk Square Scarf tied around the collar and the look finished with a Book Tote Bag. Following by the transformation of “The Boy” to “The Gentleman”, a mature touch is added on Gigi Hadid. Pieces include a Pillow Collar Car Coat, a Mh Vertical Rib Beanie and a Monogram Printed Long Sleeve Shirt.

To embrace Burberry’s heritage as well as to create contemporary spirit to the brand, the campaign was shot in a very simple and stripped back studio environment with Burberry logos detailed acrylic cubes and paper boxes that allows Gigi Hadid to play out each quality of the four characters.
