In 1998, with a campaign that was featured on 275 yellow taxis in New York City, Helmut Lang became the first designer brand to advertise on cabs. As a tribute to the event, the brand launched its initial NYC themed Taxi Capsule Collection last December, and now to build on the success of this, further expands the collection to other key cities.
The HELMUT LANG Taxi Capsule Collection encompasses solid-colored referential tees and hoodies with a “LIMITED EDITION TAXI” print on the back and small “TAXI” verbiage in the front. The cities featured including New York, London and Paris are represented in different colors and distinct logos. Additionally, the editorial campaign highlights the role taxis and its drivers play in capturing the essence of each city.
