New York brand Common Projects - the original pioneer of the premium leather sneaker - makes its debut on HBX with its 2017 spring/summer collection. Alongside its signature Original Achilles Low white sneaker, Common Projects introduces a variety of luxurious sneakers for the warmer season ahead. Following by last season, the brand’s low top sneakers are rendered in springtime pinks and powder blues. The silhouette also gets a classic treatment with tan suede uppers and a contrasting black heel tab. Other highlights of the collection include the brand’s Chelsea boot, crafted in soft black suede.
Helmed by Peter Poopat and Flavio Girolami, Common Projects was founded in 2004 to bridge the gap between formal leather shoes and sneakers for everyday wear. The design duo’s first pair of shoes, the Original Achilles Low, instantly became a cult favorite in the fashion world. Each pair features Italian leather uppers, hand-stitched rubber soles and a unique serial number in gold - a marker of quality and expert craftsmanship.
