As a child, Tadashi Moro was already making moves to become a renowned manga artist — contributing to Shonen Manga, Shonen Gaho and Taikai. An apprentice under the late Ōten Shimokawa and more recently, commissioned to create LINE stickers, his works have played an integral part in forwarding the culture surrounding Japanese anime. That Moro's works appeared in the CICE (Contemporary International Cartoon Exhibition) in 1966, at a point where anime was beginning to make its way across the pacific — when Japan and America were wedlocked in a wave of bi-cultural exchange — seemed like a foreshadow of the current streetwear trend.
The Fragment Design x Tadashi Moro 2017 Capsule Collection is a series of t-shirts emblazoned with Moro's signature style. The capsule's concept surrounds Adam and Eve as manga icons, while a message that reads "Creator has a Master plan" is juxtaposed. Fragment Design branding is stamped at the back to round out this special collaboration. Check out the photos above for a closer look.
