Swedish brand Cheap Monday is known for its idiosyncratic designs (and skintight jeans), but the brand’s spring/summer collection takes its unconventional aesthetic to another extent. Titled “Nuclear Psychodelia,” the collection has subtly ominous leanings. Acid green shades, lunar motifs and revamped fabrics dominate, setting the extraterrestrial and post-apocalyptic tone of the collection. Even the brand’s signature denim silhouettes have been revamped in distressed and acid washed iterations, reinforcing the mood. Highlights of the collection include the graphic tees and sweatshirts, which feature darkly humorous slogans questioning our nuclear-dominated future. If there’s ever a brand that can seamlessly merge futurism with a tattered grunge aesthetic, it’s Cheap Monday. Check out their latest spring/summer offerings on HBX now.
