Phenomenon, established in 2004 by Takeshi Osumi, reinterprets distinctly traditional Japanese silhouettes with influences from music and club culture. Not known for its conservatism, Phenomenon's collections are filled with a variety of vivid prints and colors, making the brand a regular in the wardrobes of Tokyo's avant-garde.

Phenomenon's Spring/Summer 2016 collection is founder Takeshi Osumi's last, and the designer has brought his A game this season, creating vibrant and eclectic pieces for the streetwear brand. These distressed jeans are inspired by 90s club culture, and exude effortless cool with their faded wash, frayed patches on the thigh and artful rips at the knee.
