Contemporary label Maison Kitsuné has always excelled at classic staples that exude a Parisian je ne sais quoi, but this season, the brand injects its designs with wartime Japanese influences as a nod to its Asian roots. Kitsuné’s latest releases are a mix of timeless garments and youthful graphic pieces, showing off the brand’s skills in both traditional tailoring and whimsical illustration. Signature pieces from the collection include a sweatshirt printed with the sun peeking out from behind Mount Fuji (a reference to Japan’s moniker as the “Land of the Rising Sun”), and a phone case printed with Kitsuné’s namesake fox outfitted in pilot gear. Of course, you can’t forget Kitsuné’s classic oxford shirts, finished off with the brand’s tricolor fox patch for a hint of French flair.
