Founded in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler, PUMA has gained notoriety for dressing Olympians and top athletes worldwide. From their humble roots as the footwear company Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, the iconic sneaker brand gained traction after runner Jesse Owens won four gold medals in the Berlin Olympics wearing their spikes. In recent years, the brand has focused on refining their iconic styles, collaborating with fashion labels from Jil Sander to BAPE.
Puma's sneakers have always been famed for their Trinomic technology - hexagonal cells that expanded and collapsed for optimal cushioning - and this season the brand has added a new sneaker to the Trinomic family, the Blaze of Glory Sock. The shoe is crafted with a textured nubuck upper and styled with a sockliner, all in neutral tones akin to the color of soft serve.
